Day 11 of 365
This is Day 11 and it's a self portrait taken inside with external flash lighting. Fstop was 2.5. As much as I wanted to "fix" it and take the wrinkles out, I decided that since I am practing on my settings and lightings that I should keep real. Looking forward to finding more people and things to take shots of. DeColores !

Day 10
Day 10 .... Our two year old cold and he's still got his winter coat. Pretty high spirited animal with lots of personality. I took this about an hour before the sun went down and it really made his coat black.

Day 9
Day 9 is Cutter bug. Bright outside and needed my reflector to get rid of the under chin shadow. Otherwise, it's a cool photo.

Day 8 ... silk flowers
Day 8 Silk flower from Hobby Lobby. Taken inside without a flash. Loving the day to day photographing and learning fstop, iso and metering. Thank you Lara Blair because the more I take photos, the more I can see the differnce in using auto and setting your settings.

Day #4 and I have Lilly and Bailey Girl. The light was very very bright and I was shooting with the sun to the left. I shot at ISO 100, F4 and 800. I was wishing I had a reflector to take a little shadow off the face... but I love it!
Started working yesterday on my "Pie in the Sky". Liquidating things out of Wild Horse Depot. Then comes the wall, then four photo shoot back drops that I don't have to put up and take down...which is a pain in the hinney! It seems like such small steps and looking at the mess in there last night....it was a bit over whelming, but it will work. Even changed my web to take off the wedding page!

This is Day 3 and i've chosen to do a shot of one of my grandsons. He has beautiful blue eyes. Taken on a beautiful overcast, but bright, sunny day in West Texas. There was just enough lights coming through the clouds to get a beautiful backlight. This to me is a photographers dream...meter, shoot, crop, put your name on it and post it. I wish they were all that easy....

Wow Day 2 and I got a photo of an armadillo. It's been forever since i've even seen one, much less get a picture. He was a big fellow and after about 20 shots, I got one with him turned where I could see him! I was shooting today in the bright sun with ISO 100, F4 and 400 Shutter speed! He was a pretty awesome subject to shoot for my second day!

Wow what a Photography Retreat!
Modern Prairie Girl Lara Blair lit up my world at her "Ignite Your Photography: Top Secret in Texas". The retreat was held in West Texas at the beautiful Windmill Ranch Preserve . Rustic and country cabins and those beautiful Texas sunrises and sunsets topped off with wonderful new friends, and doing what you love. Who could ask for anything more? Realizing my "Pie in the Sky" and being sparked with a new dedication and drive to make it happen. Thank you Lara Blair for a weekend i'll never forget!

How and what is a BLOG or is it blog? I do not have a clue but i am determined to learn.
I recenlty (yesterday) finished working on my photography logo. I've taken photos every since I can remember. I loved my 35mm camera and I can remember my first digital camera and it held floppy discs...a Sony....wow have times changed. I now work with a Canon (actually this is the 3rd....first was xsi, second was xti and now t2i) Instead of taking about 8 MB of photos, i'm taking raw photos on a card that hold 32GB....
Now about my photo above....since i've taken over 3TB of photos and stuck little logo looking things on them...I decided it was time to make one that I actually could live with it. After three days of working with layers and masks,...I finally got something I liked that would work on either a dark or light background. This is my LOGO.....and I hope to put it on my photos to come....God Bless
